Job Title Oracle iAS (Internet Application Server) Consultant Location MN Duration 3-6 months Rate Competitive We can only work with candidates that fit one of the following work authorization categories though... 1) GC; 2) US Citizen; 3) H1 that has worked in the US for the past 5 years without leaving the country at any time for a period longer than 90 days over those 5 years Responsibilities: . Maintain and ensure availability/capacity of Oracle AppServer products and services and support client applications in a large and complex environment. . Plan and implement the Oracle AppServer environment for all stages of development as well as production. . Install, support, maintain and upgrade Oracle AppServer products and services. . Develop, document, and implement procedures that support, maintain and enhance the Oracle AppServer environment. . Interact with other organizations and individuals, such as developers and end users, to diagnose and resolve problems. . Diagnose and resolve complex problems in the Oracle AppServer environments. . Develop growth plans to ensure that the hosting environment is capable of supporting the projected growth. . Develop and implement procedures that support proactive problem detection and avoidance, including disaster recovery planning and implementation. . Perform logical and physical appserver design (HA, multi-jvm, and multi-cell). Experience 5 plus years of IT experience including at least two years of experience supporting/administering Oracle AppServer or similar J2EE server products in a large, complex and widely distributed environment. Required Technical Skills: . Experience installing, upgrading, maintaining and Supporting Oracle AppServer or similar J2EE server products in a large enterprise environment. . Hands-on support experience with Microsoft Windows and UNIX/Linux server operating systems. . Diagnose and resolve complex problems in a Oracle AppServer environment. . Develop and implement procedures that support, maintain and enhance the Oracle AppServer environment. . Develop and implement procedures that enable proactive problem detection including disaster recovery planning and implementation. . Ability to perform logical and physical AppServer design (HA, multi- jvm,and multi-cell). . Working knowledge of WebSphere AppServer performance tuning. .
