Assignment Overview
Requirements Technical Musts Project Server 2007 Administration
implementing, configuring, tuning, customizing and administering the
application-adding/removing users, modifying security and access rights,
configuration of custom fields, project types pages, etc.
replication and maintenance of Project Server in Multiple Dev, Test, and
Production Environments Configuration and maintenance of Project Server
Settings; Security, Enterprise Data, Database Administration, Look and Feel,
Time and Task Management, Queue, Operational Policies, and Workflow and
Project Detail Pages.
Project Server development through PSI (working knowledge of Project Server
web services and object model to create custom interfaces) MS Project 2007
Professional MOSS 2007 Server Administration Visual Studio 2008 SharePoint
Designer SharePoint Web parts development and customization
Designing and implementing workflows Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008
Microsoft SQL Reporting Services (SSRS) Experience with Project Server and
SharePoint reporting options: Project Server Data cube, EDW, and SSRS
expertise.
Proficiency with several database structures, operating systems platforms,
user interfaces.
communication protocols and programming languages (SQL, Oracle,
Transactional SQL, PL/SQL).
Proficiency in various combinations of Web-based programming and development
protocols/languages and development tools such as HTML, VB, C, C++, JAVA,
XML, ASP, and NT/IIS
Technical Pluses Project 2010 experience a plus MOSS 2010 experience a plus
SAP Web Service integration a plus SVN experience a plus Other Requirements
Ability to clarify ambiguous situations, resolve outstanding issues and
react quickly to changes in direction.
Able to gather the appropriate level of detail when gathering requirements
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrate the ability to
quickly learn, become competent in and effectively apply new technologies.
Familiar with Microsoft Solution Framework development methodologies and
agile/extreme development.
Consistency refers to Microsoft Patterns & Practices for best practice
considerations
Strong communications skills, both written and verbal. Strong interpersonal
skills. Scope of Work Analyze, design, and develop the functionality as part
of the team Work with a team of 1 to 2 developers in creating 2 applications
that integrate with Project Server. Work within the development team to
create and enhance functionality on these applications.
