Duration: 6 plus Months
Look for Environment Architect who can architect infrastructure solutions,
including unix/windows/storage/network design and capacity planning. He/she
needs to play govornance role for product life cycles, standards and
guidance. He/she needs to facilitate and drive the conversations needed to
gather and validate the requirements and reach the conclusions. He/she also
needs to understand .Net/IIS nd Java/WAS applications to certain degree. See
below for the skills needed. Technical Skills Mid-level knowledge of Windows
(Server 2003/2008), and Unix (Solaris) Mid-level understanding of Networking
(routers/switches/SLB/GSLB), storage (local/NAS/SAN) and databases (RDRMS,
e.g. Oracle, SQL) Some understanding of Java (J2EE containers, JMS, etc) and
.NET/IIS Other Skills Strong ability to look at big pictures, connect the
dots and architect the solution Strong ability to drive and lead
conversations, and coordinate work among different parties Strong ability to
give the directions, identify the path, and troubleshoot infrastructure and
application problems Be willing to take risks and be able to step up to take
initiative Be a quick learner and adopter, and be willing to challenge
oneself Be good at writing concise, high-quality technical documents Be able
to communicate technical information clearly, able to 'translate' between
diverse groups of technical and non-technical individuals
