Role: Oracle DBA/Engineer Location: Windsor, CT Duration: 6 months+ Interview: F2F after phone is most likely A DATABASE ENGINEER who analyzes, designs, creates and implements databases, including access methods, device allocations, validation checks, organization and security. Designs data models, logical and physical databases, data dictionaries and schemas. Assists in systems planning, scheduling and implementation. Initiates corrective action to stay on schedule. Installs, upgrades and tests moderately complex database software. Develops and implements database recovery plans and procedures. Disciplines: Database Design and Analysis and Data Warehousing/Data Mining. Skills Oracle DBA version 11g*, OEM grid control, UNIX Scripting, technical project management skills, good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Requires a Sr. Oracle DBA with a minimum of 5 years experience. XML experience desirable but not required. Requires excellent planning, conceptual, consulting and communication skills, analytical ability, strong judgment and management skills, and the ability to interact with senior business area and IT management and staff solutions.
