Description: Mobile Application Engineer Duration: 6+months Location: San Jose CA A Senior Mobile Applications Engineer is responsible for design and development of mobile applications for the Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, Windows Mobile, Brew, and J2ME platforms. The engineer must possess excellent knowledge of mobile platform environments including the associated tools and techniques that are used for developing, debugging, building and installing applications. The engineer must also have a proven track record of delivering commercial grade mobile applications with specific experience in media capture, manipulation and playback. The engineer must be capable of leading application development teams from the concept stage through final implementation. Qualification:- 10+ Years of Software Development using Java, C, C++ Lang 5+ Years of Mobile Application Development on one or more platforms including: Android, BlackBerry, J2ME, Symbian, BREW, Windows Mobile, Embedded.. Must have experience developing applications that involve media capture/playback Proven track record of delivering commercial grade applications on mobile platforms Expert knowledge of mobile development environments such as editors, utilities, emulators, compliers and debuggers Experience with on-device debugging Understanding strategies for dealing with device fragmentation and application porting issue Expertise in client/server communications including experience with HTTP, XML, TCP, UDP Wireshark Experience with RTSP, RTP and other media streaming protocols a plus Knowledge of media formats such as MP4, H.263, QCELP, AMR a plus Experience with SMS, MMS, SMIL, and WTP a plus Ownership/Accountability for tasks/projects. Work well within a team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Independent work habits. Proven ability to deliver quality software on time. Act with a sense of urgency.
