Basic Java development . A strong knowledge of front-end coding technologies including HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, JQuery, XML/XSD/XSL/XPath, JSON/DOM Scripting, etc . A solid understanding of web best practices and standards including a thorough knowledge of performance optimization techniques (gzip, minify, etc) to speed up the sites . A strong command of cross-browser development techniques and browser degradation strategies . Knowledge of Section 508 and WAI accessibility guidelines and be able to develop interfaces that can be functional and accessible with or without the use of JavaScript . Knowledge of on-page SEO and accessibility techniques and tools . Familiar with major principles of Web 2.0 and Semantic Web . Develop efficient, maintainable code under the standards set forth by the technology team . Ability to follow technical design and understand basic workflow of software development lifecycle (SDLC) . Ability to work in a team environment that requires collaborative solutions across functional teams .
