*Title: Data Modeler* *Location: Santa Ana , CA* *Duration: 6+ Month* *Start Date: ASAP* *JOB REQUIREMENTS:* *ROLE:* Data Modeler This position will work closely with functional and technical teams to develop the logical and physical data models for this web-based application. An ideal candidate will have relevant data modeling experience and ability to work closely with multiple teams to solve design challenges. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* - Develop logical data model based on System requirements and System use cases - work with the technical analysts/object modelers to define the technical approaches for solving business problems - work with Development team to create a physical data model based on the logical data model - Develop and document data model elements in accordance with established database design guidelines *REQUIRED SKILLS:* -Experience with all aspects of the System Development Life Cycle -the candidate should have a flexible attitude, ability to work closely with multiple internal cross-functional teams and clients -- ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and very good analytical skills - the candidate should be a team player, excellent written and verbal communication skills, willing to accept challenges - Expertise designing and data modeling transactional Web-based OLTP applications - Expertise in database design with Oracle 10g - Experience with PL/SQL - Experience with database Performance Tuning (cost, index Tuning) - Solid Experience analyzing functional requirements and data flows and translating them to data models - Solid Experience working with functional/non- technical users and analysts - Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities - Experience with actively participating in team working sessions and JAD sessions - Experience working with object modelers and other design/Development resources to solve problems - Experience with object-oriented, J2EE Development a plus - Familiarity with UML, use case methodologies, and the Rational suite - Query tuning experience EDUCATION/REVELANT EXPERIENCE: - BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent with 5+ years of over all IT experience or equivalent work experience - Detailed data modeling skills - in-depth knowledge of data architecture and modeling principles, practices, and tools (Erwin Allfusion modeling suite) - Understanding of relational, object-oriented, and business ruleparadigms - working Experience with Rational Rose and Unified modeling Language (UML) - working Experience with Java Objects and principles as it relates to database Performance a plus Thanks & Regards sandi Recruiter G Technologies Inc. 4340 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose, CA 95129.
