Oracle Developer
We are looking for an experienced Oracle developer. The candidate should
have very good knowledge in PL/SQL, SQL and Oracle database development
including stored procedures, database triggers and database packages. The
candidate must have more than 5+ years of development experience in Oracle
forms and reports. The candidate should have good UNIX experience. Excellent
verbal and written communication skills are required for this position.
Duties and responsibilities
. Design, program, develop, analyze and implement database applications and
database objects.
. Write or update code documentation, implementation instructions and
integration tests for applications. Produce technical documentation in
accordance with SDLC guidelines.
. Communicate with both technical and non-technical groups on a regular
basis to pass along important information and to ensure the design and
implements are understood by all parties.
. Maintain, troubleshoot, optimize and improve existing database
applications and database objects
. Develop Oracle forms and reports
. Develop database procedures and packages
. Develop UNIX shell scripts.
. Optimize the existing jobs using SQL/PLSQL tuning methodologies.
Required skills
. BS or MS in Computer science or related area
. At least 5 years of experience with Oracle forms and reports
. At least 5 years of experience with Oracle database, SQL/Pl-SQL
. Solid background with UNIX system. Should be very comfortable in writing
shell scripts.
. Knowledge of .Net, Informatica, PERL, or Java will be a big plus
. Familiarity with XML and web services is good to have but not mandatory
. Some knowledge of the brokerage industry is a must for this position
. Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
. Solid analytical and communicational skills
. Good documentation and writing skills
