Microsoft MSI/MSP technology and C++ Install authoring software Their install authoring software is WIX but could work with someone with Wise or Installshield. Scripting Windows Agile *Position Summary:* Responsible for designing, developing, implementing and maintaining installs and service packs for products in client's Manufacturing Division including client Inventor and AutoCAD Electrical. Work closely with other members of an international cross-functional team to ensure that all required functionality is correctly implemented in the installs. *Primary Responsibilities:* Responsible for developing high quality, stable code for use in installs and service packs. Ensures new code conforms to established coding standards and meets the feature specification. Ensures that code can be seamlessly localized for other languages. Troubleshoots code and debugs if necessary. Tests newly developed features to ensure proper functioning prior to release to QA. Participates in developing test plans, including regression tests, for newly developed software or feature. Works with Product Management/Product Design to understand and help refine functional requirements for new products or upgrades. Collaborates on Product Requirement and Feature Specification documents and estimates the programming difficulty. Creates software designs prior to coding. Develops industry specific documents and diagrams to outline architecture and relationships between subsystems and participates in review of those designs. Participates in planning and design review meetings with technical leads and project managers to determine schedules, review technical problems, and assign tasks and resources. Experience Required: BS in Computer Science or a related field 3-5 years software development experience. Experience with developing installs using Microsoft MSI/MSP technology and C++. Experience with install authoring software (Wise, Installshield, WIX etc..) Experience with automating processes using Windows batch scripting, Perl, or other scripting languages. Experience with Source Code Control systems Experience with key aspects of software installation: DLL versioning, registry, GUIDs, etc... Experience with Microsoft Windows (XP, Vista, Win7) Experience with SCRUM or other agile methodologies a plus. Experience working with remote and international team members a plus. *Qualitative:* Self starter, works well independently and on a team. Meticulous attention to detail Excellent written and oral communication skills. Recognized excellent interpersonal skills. Possesses a professional and cooperative attitude. Willingness and flexible to change with the changing needs of the organization.
