Position: WEBSPHERE PORTAL ADMIN Consultant Location: Dallas, TX Duration: 12 Months with possibility of Extension Rate: Best $/Hr All Inclusive Start Date: ASAP Positions: One Summary: Responsible for providing application support and administration for our enterprise portal platform which leverages IBM Websphere Portal technologies. This is lead position requires a Bachelors degree in a computer related major with broad knowledge and experience related to computer systems and technologies. Specifically, Oracle, Windows OS, J2EE, SQL , IBM Websphere Portal, Siteminder, IBM Web Content Management etc. Education/Experience Bachelors degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. ü 8 + years experience required Responsibility level ü Exercises independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor Skills ü Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills (Required) ü Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required) ü Strong leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide technical support (Required) ü Strong knowledge of application and infrastructure best practices involved in managing a production environment (Required) ü Strong knowledge of computer software, such as JSR 286 Portlet Spec, Java, SQL, Oracle etc (Required) ü ITIL Foundations certification (Highly Desired) o Thorough understanding of web-based applications (Required) ü Ability to wear multiple hats such as portal support lead and portal admin/portal release manager ü Some understanding of integration of 3rd party COTS solutions (Desired) Major Job Duties and Responsibilities: ü Advise management on current system principles and necessary updates and recommendations o Ability to provide process improvements to existing operational procedures. ü 24x7 Production Support rotation ü Provide support for major project implementations and application enhancements o Act a liaison between Manage Service Provider and Application team to solve production issues o Problem, Change and Issues management for applications supported Kindly go through the position details and let me know if you have any consultants matching the skill set or would really appreciate if you can refer me someone with this skill set.
