Response Time: Immediate Requirement: Title: QA Tester Position: 3 Duration: 6+ months Location: Chicago, IL (Locals highly Preferred) Interview: F2F May Require after Telephonic Description: This position is responsible for creating, maintaining, and reviewing performance test cases for application under test. This position will support Performance Testing activities for Client's software applications. It will create acceptable quality performance tests to ensure performance requirements for the application are being met. This position would contribute to the technical direction and skills of the Load and Performance testing team. Resource will be aligned to perform load and performance testing for DCII. Essential Functions: - Work with management to help gather Performance requirements for system under test - Analyze Load/Performance/Capacity needs from user requirements - Determine Load Test Data Requirements - Write and execute Load and Performance Test cases. - Communicate issues or defects to management team on a timely basis - Create Load and Performance test scripts and publish Performance Metrics - Provide technical support to help resolve performance testing problems/issues. - Help serve as a technical expert resolving critical and complex issues. - Help provide technical direction and expertise to testing groups and/or departments. - Responsible for helping build Load and Performance Test Bed - Find solutions and initiate testing changes proactively in a proactive manner. - Apply knowledge to multiple areas of the products and functional teams. - Identify, log and track system defects to be remediated - Ensure product adherence to Enterprise product adoption standards. - Maintain communication with management regarding development within areas of assigned responsibilities and perform special projects as required or requested. Additional Responsibilities/Accountabilities: - SOLID skills with Load and Performance Testing - Experience utilizing Performance Testing Tools: (Rational Performance Tester, HP Loadrunner, or other Load and Performance tools being utilized) - Strong knowledge of MS Windows and UNIX. (whichever the application under test is running) - Database testing knowledge, especially Microsoft SQL Server and ORACLE. (These are pretty standard) Thanks & Regards Acer Mc Entellects Corp.
