*JOB DESCRIPTION*: *STORAGE TRANSITION AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER TO OFFSHORE
TEAM*
*Role : STORAGE TRANSITION AND KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER *
*Skill Sets: Storage Administration of EMC Symmetrix DMX 3 / 4 and EMC
Brocade SAN Switches 24k/48k *
*Tasks *: 1. Installation and Setup of Storage Systems DMX 3/DMX 4 , EMC
Clariions CX3 /CX4 and Netapp FAS Filer Systems.
2. Installation of Management Servers like ECC to monitor
Storage Systems.
* *3. Host Integration with Storage along with the
installation of SAN Switches.
4. Storage Provisioning i.e allocation and de-allocation
of LUNs to hosts.
5. Creating meta from hypers and dissolving metas to hypers.
6. Defining RAID types on storage Symm devs.
7. Zoning and Masking of devices with hosts.
8. Configuring Access gateways for SAN communication.
9. Storage provisioning to Virtualized ESX Servers.
10. SRDF Replication over DMX Symmetrix boxes.
11. Configuring the Time Finder solutions – Cloning / BCV
for Business continuity operations.
12. SAN Switch Firmware and Microcode of DMX upgradation.
13. Capacity mgmt and Incident report generation.
14. Using SYMCLI, emcgrab and power paths for storage
configuration and management.
15. Storage Consolidation for capacity management & optimal
use of infrastructure.
16. Monitoring and managing the Storage devices using ECC
and Brocade SAN Switch GUI and CLI.
