I hope you are doing well. Please find the following requirement. Role :Production Support- Location : Herndon, VA Duration : 6 Months extendable contract. Visa: only w2 . no 1099 Desc: Production Support Engineer will maintain, monitor and support Enterprise Data Technology CAPRI (Capital Allocation and Profitability Reporting Initiative) application on a 24 x 7 x 365 schedule. Ops engineer will work with CAPRI business, Development, Quality Assurance, DBA and other support teams to co-ordinate and facilitate the scheduling, incident triage and timely resolution of production issues. In addition, he/she will assist in the implementation of new releases in production and facilitate data correction, DBMOD and other adhoc executions in production environment. KEY JOB FUNCTIONS * Provide production support or technical support to users of a customized or proprietary application. * Provide support to resolve outstanding production problems and troubleshoot applications which are in UNIX, Abinitio, AutoSys and oracle environment. * Participate in CAPRI development design, code and support documents reviews. * Execute Data corrections/DBMOD and other adhoc production requests. * Analyze monthly production schedule, determines risks and provides recommendations on appropriate course of action. * Contribute to development of Operations standards requirements and streamline the applications * Provide best practices and implement process improvements and automation as needed * Monitor & identify database and UNIX server performance issues to minimize the process delays and to avoid the impact on downstream applications. * Attend all pre deployments meetings (release notes and run book review..etc) and Involve in the implementation of production releases and execute the runbooks as needed. * Plan, contribute to, or conduct projects for developing requirements for system enhancement, revision or development of application, or related projects. * Strong written and oral communication skills are essential. Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve problems are desired. Some knowledge of mortgage industry required. Fannie Mae products and operations preferred * Review and certify CLAM (Central Log Analysis Manager) activities in production. * Lead and contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle for Enterprise Data applications including current production and any future applications EDUCATION * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE * 5-7 years of related experience SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS * Require experience with Large Scale Enterprise Financial Systems. * Require experience for providing production support for the application which were developed using the technologies/tools Abinitio, Autosys, Unix, shell scripting and sql * Job scheduling experience using AutoSys is required * Prior 24/7 Support Experience a plus. * Ability to work independently and multi-task to meet critical deadlines in a rapidly changing environment * Experience with (working knowledge of) one or more of the following: ClearCase, ClearQuest, Business objects, Remedy PCM Plus required. * Experience in Fannie Mae's SDLC standard is preferred * High energy, self-motivation, attention to detail, creativity, flexibility, and ability to work under pressure. * Flexibility to work additional hours on an as needed basis to meet deadlines.
