Unix Administrator – L3/L4 Levels. Duration: Full Time. Position: 2 Location: Cary, NC. *Job Description * *L3 Linux* *Job Description / Responsibility* · Should have around 10+ year of UNIX experience with 8+ years of demonstrated experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining Linux environment, will be responsible for · Installation/Upgrade & Configuration of Servers – Network Configuration, Firmware Install, OS Install, Filesystem Configuration. · User Admin on UNIX servers · Jumpstart Environment Management – Develop Standards & Policies, Set Images, develop/Maintain scripts. · Patch implementation & maintenance, Licensing, Boot Prom Management and Performance Management. · Service Management – NIS/NIS+/DNS/NFS/Samba/Send Mail, Capacity Planning. · Security Administration – Add/remove/Troubleshoot Security Policies. · Tools Administration – Agent Installation · Device Management – Installing & Configuring devices. · Syslog & Log management · Documentation – Systems/tool/Service management documents update. · Process related activities, Scripts Maintenance. · This role also needs the person to perform Webmaster / Admin Activities on Apache / Tomcat or any other Webservers. · Knowledge of Remedy ticketing will be a plus. *L3 Sun Solaris* *Job Description / Responsibility* · Should have around 7+ year of UNIX experience with 6+ years of demonstrated experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining Sun Solaris environment, will be responsible for · Installing, configuring and maintaining Sun Servers (Solaris 9/10) · Proficiency in supporting various sun hardware like (E15k, E1290, E6800/6900, E4800 V890, V880, V490, V480, E420r) running Solaris operating system. · Configuring and administering Solaris Zones and Containers on Sun Solaris 10 operating system · Sun Virtualisation, LDOM & Server Sizing. · Installation and configuration of HA environment using Sun or Veritas Cluster. · Configuration and administration of Sun and Veritas logical volume manager. · Installing and Maintaining Solaris Jumpstart environment · Patch and Package administration · Printer Administration · Writing shell scripts to accomplish day to day system administration task · Configuring and supporting domain on Sun Fire Servers · Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue · Capacity planning and fine tune system for optimal performance · Understanding of SAN and NAS storage. · Installation, configuration and Administration of Netbackup environment · Administration of NIS or LDAP environment · Configuring Unix Security baseline · Troubleshooting Hardware and Operating system related issue · Experience in System Fault Tolerance Design, Business continuity and Disaster recovery planning. *L3 HP-UX Administration* *Job Description / Responsibility:* · Should have around 7+ years of Unix Experience with 5+ years of demonstrated experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining HP -Unix (V11.x or later), will be responsible for: - · Installing, configuring and maintaining HP servers. · Installation and configuration of High Availability environment using MC \Service Guard. · Configuration and administration of HP Logical volume manager. · Installation and Configuration of ignite backup.
