1.        Experience with large-scale (multiple terabytes, multiple
databases, disparate schemas) data mapping and migration efforts

2.        Experienced in data analysis

3.        Create or Identify Key Data Artifacts

a.        Data Dictionary

b.       Data Model

c.        Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD)

4.        Data architecture best practices

5.        Reporting/data mart/data warehouse



*Responsibilities*

 Responsible for data-related deliverables to the project and in
contribution to the overall architecture for the “to-be” consolidated
platform.  Deliverables include (but are not limited to): data architecture,
data artifacts (data dictionary, data model, entity relationship diagram),
data analysis and migration design, and data mart design (contributor, with
Eagle participation) Model data to reflect the business functions it
supports. Ensure it fits within the target system architecture landscape
Assess the quality of the data models for both Russell development projects
as well as vendor application packages and / or outsourced development
efforts Co-ordinate and synthesize project level data models, both Russell
developed and vendor products in order to further develop and enhance the
corporate data model



Coordinate, monitor and participate in quality reviews of data models and
database designs More items to consider

   - Translates enterprise or business requirements into long-term
   information/data architecture solutions, including conceptual, logical and
   physical models.
   - Analyzes and defines enterprise master data management strategies and
   models
   - Implements and promotes governance processes for information and
   metadata to ensure establishment of a common language and the ongoing
   accuracy, validity, and reuse of metadata
   - Defines and maintains best practice guidelines and standards for data,
   metadata, data modeling, and management
   - Provides best practice leadership to database administrators and
   application developers
   - Serves as point of escalation, review, and approval for key issues,
   significant projects, and decisions
   - Advises business and technology groups on future technology options,
   outlining risks and capabilities
   - Collaborates with business analysts and project managers on a wide
   range of technology projects, including software development, package
   implementations, and infrastructure upgrades/changes.
   - Knowledge of data classification, business ownership/stewardship
   definition, and developing role-based data access
   - Familiarity with data privacy, compliance, and security principles and
   standards (Sarbanes-Oxley, etc.)
   - Strong strategic planning capabilities
