Reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems including encoding,
testing, debugging and documenting programs. May require a bachelor's degree
in area of specialty and 6+ years of experience in the field or in a related
area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and
procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and
accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. May provide consultation on
complex projects and is considered to be the top level
contributor/specialist. Typically reports to a manager or head of a
unit/department.
*Required Skill:*
1. Transaction Server 4.1 installation, customization, maintenance
experience
2. Assembler language programming – *Strong MUST HAVE*
3. COBOL language programming – *Strong MUST HAVE*
4. IMS database access from COBOL programs – *Strong MUST HAVE*
5. DB2 database access from COBOL programs - Medium
6. TCP/IP sockets programming – *Strong MUST HAVE
*7. SMPE installs – *Strong MUST HAVE*
8. CICSPlex – *Strong MUST HAVE*
9. JCL – *Strong MUST HAVE*
10. CICS Exit programming – *Strong MUST HAVE*
11. Experience with third party products associated with CICS VSAM - Medium
12. PLI - Medium
13. SMTP - Medium
