We have an urgent requirement for SQL Server DBA with our Client in Austin, TX. Client is specifically looking for people who have experience as *SQL DBA and enterprise level experience* Title: SQL Server DBA Location: Austin, TX Duration: 3 - 6 months Have good communication skills; Have substantial experience in architecting complex enterprise database solutions; Understand database design principles (normalization, etc.); Design, plan, and develop SSIS packages to optimally extract, transform and load data between data sources without adversely impacting customer experience; Have expert skills writing, tuning, debugging and deploying SQL Server stored procedures, views, functions, triggers and SSIS packages; Be able to diagnose and resolve database performance issues; Have hands-on proven experience with using replication (especially transactional replication) in complex environments, ability to quickly troubleshoot replication-related problems and maximize the up-time throughout the environment; Have considerable clustering experience (Windows Server 2008/SQL Server 2008 using Hyper-V preferred) including cluster setup, troubleshooting, and optimization; Be able to quickly resolve database-mirroring and database snapshot-related problems.
