 Business Intelligence Application Systems Programmer/Analyst (1 position)

Responsibilities include, but not limited to, analyzing business requirements; 
work with business users to clarify requirements and provide user with 
solutions; 
design and develop applications (data analysis; database modeling; build 
databases, tables and cubes; 
develop ETL(Extract Transform and Load) processes; develop reports; develop 
dashboards, etc?); 
unit test applications; assist users with user acceptance testing; implement 
applications into production environment; 
create technical documentation for each application; 
create user ?learn more? documentation; provide user training; 
provide weekly activity/status reports to both BI and user team.  The data 
sources will be from Teradata, Oracle, SQL, DB2, Excel and flat files.   The 
applications will be developed using Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Microsoft 
Visual Studio 2008.    

b. Deliverables: 
1.     Add Gut Size reporting to the existing In Stock application.   
2.     Enhance existing SD Buyer Attribute application to incorporate 
departmental and vendor financial metrics (sales, gross margin, inventory, and 
turns).  
3.     Develop a Plan-O-Gram (POG) Analysis Tool that will help to identify 
optimal POG Performance at POG, Theater, Facility and SKU level by     
reviewing/comparing various financial measures to include: Sales, Gross Margin, 
Gross Profit and Inventory investment.
4.     Enhance existing Cashier Dashboard to add the following key metrics: 
price challenges, price overrides, cash variance, dept rings, drive-off, 
suspends, scan rates, and coupons.

Minimum of 5 years experience with the following Business Intelligence suite of 
tools:
?          SQL Server 2008
o    Integration Services (SSIS)
o    Relational Database Management Systems (RDMS)
o    Reporting Services (SSRS)
o    Analysis Services (SSAS)
o    T-SQL and MDX query languages
?          SharePoint 2007
o    Content Management
o    Collaboration
o    Business Intelligence (e.g., integrating dashboards, Excel Services)
?          Performance Point 2007
o    Monitoring & Analytics ? dashboards/scorecards/visualizations
o    ProClarity ? advanced visualizations
o    Budgeting & Planning
?      Office 2007
o    Excel 2007 data connections to OLAP cubes and building pivot tables
Other Experience:
?     Business intelligence experience with Retail Key Performance Indicators 
and metrics 
?    Project experience delivering solutions that include standard reporting, 
ad-hoc reporting and dashboard/scorecard solutions.
