*MDM Lead Data Architect** *Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 6-12 months Rate: Open PRIMARY OBJECTIVE The individual is responsible for standing up and maintaining the framework for Data Architecture and Data Integration for Assurant Solutions. This role will work with the team by applying knowledge of data warehouse design, development, and implementation concepts which include operational data stores, data marts (logical and physical), and metadata management The ideal candidate must have a proven track record of building large scale data projects from the ground up. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY 1. Analyze database and business systems in order to perform data modeling (high level conceptual business/data models, entity-relationship logical data models, and detailed physical database design models). 2. Identify strategy for data acquisition and archival with a key focus on simplicity and data quality 3. Develop a MDM Roadmap and evaluate MDM strategy/tools 4. Develop strategies for key enterprise entities 5. Partner with Business and Other IT teams for data quality and stewardship programs. 6. Establish Model and Metadata Driven approach 7. Establish Logical, Physical Data Models 8. Define standards for gathering and documenting data models 9. Facilitate data modeling sessions and lead data model reviews 10. Design data integration points and conformed dimensions 11. Mentor others in data architecture and modeling concepts 12. Oversee design and development of 3NF and Star Schemas, conformed, SCD dimensions 13. Oversee design and development of specifications for Source to target mapping, table/column metadata, and transformation rules 14. Oversee Source system analysis and data profiling 15.
