--- Comment #1 from Taneyhills Library <taneyhi...@suddenlinkmail.com> ---
Kelly created this thread in response to my help ticket. Renewing items for
family accounts is indeed a time consuming process.

Yes, the Relative's Checkouts tab is helpful for viewing which accounts have
items that need renewing, but to execute the renewal you still have to go to
each account to renew individually, then navigate back and forth between
guarantor's and guarantees' accounts to make sure you got everybody. This is
challenging for some of my less capable front desk volunteers, and even for
professional staff when it's busy at the desk. Inevitably a family member's
account gets overlooked, resulting in late fines, etc.

Further complicating matters is the fact that spouses are not linked to the
guarantor like child guarantees are. Their checkouts do not show up on the
Relative's Checkouts tab at all.

I would LOVE to see family accounts streamlined in some way that makes item
renewal easier. Maybe making all items on linked accounts (for children AND
spouses) viewable and renewable on a single page.

This is only one change I would like to see for family accounts. Please see my
comments on related thread
