            Bug ID: 23311
Summary: Normalization Rules set up in Record Matching Rules in
                    Administration Module
 Change sponsored?: ---
           Product: Koha
           Version: 18.11
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P5 - low
         Component: Documentation
          Assignee: koha-bugs@lists.koha-community.org

Currently, when researching Record Matching Rules in the 18.11 Koha Manual, the
manual defines the Normalization Rules as:

“Koha only has one ‘Normalization rule’ that removes extra characters such as
commas and semicolons. The value you enter in this field is irrelevant to the
normalization process.”

However, currently, there are 4 options for Normalization Rules: remove spaces,
upper case, lower case and Legacy Default.

It would be helpful if these normalization rules were clarified in the manual
for users. For example What does it mean Legacy Default? What does Uppercase
mean?
