Our reports usually contain umlauts and with .cvs and Excel we always got reports about broken umlauts and it's really tedious to import the data correctly (many more clicks). On the other hand we didn't experience the serious issues this bug is hoping to fix, maybe because the exports are usually quite small in comparison.
