We can do a unit test to verify the overall functionality, but we'll need to be very careful unit testing other locales, because I don't think we can count on every system running the unit test suite to have locales that require a different collator to "default". We could perhaps do some conditional testing on that, so that ktd (which I assume Jenkins uses) can have an extra locale, but yeah... more to think about there.
