They have to clear the writeoffs with the board of administrators every year so it cannot be an automated cron job. For now they'll open a ticket every year to ask us to run the script, but it would be great if they were independent in doing this. They would need something like a report on what WOULD be written off (number of transactions + amount), so an option of a dry run with report. Then an actual run.
