It would be helpful if MARC modification templates allowed libraries to copy
subfields to a specific position in control fields. For instance, libraries may
want to copy 260$c or 264$c to position 07-10 in 008.
Recent/upcoming enhancements to MARC modification templates have similar
functions, but not exactly that (Bug 28915 - MARC modification templates should
allow specification of a position or range within a control field and Bug 36515
- Amend MARC modification templates so control fields can be copied to
subfields).
