            Bug ID: 43349
Summary: Use the current date as the return date when
overriding checkout for an expired patron
   Initiative type: ---
        Sponsorship ---
            status:
           Product: Koha
           Version: 25.05
          Hardware: All
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P5 - low
         Component: Circulation
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
        QA Contact: [email protected]
                CC: [email protected], [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

I thought I had submitted this bug yesterday but can't find it so I am sorry if
it comes up 2 times.

When temporarily overriding the expiration restriction, if ReturnBeforeExpiry
is enabled, the return date is set to the patron's expiration date, which can
automatically result in an overdue checkout.

Since I am overriding the expiration restriction, I would expect the return
date to be at least the current date so that an overdue checkout is not
immediately placed on the patron's account.
