Currently, an item that is attached to an item bundle does not accumulate its
own checkout stats when the item bundle is checked out to a patron. Checkout
stats are only recorded for the item bundle itself, not for the individual
items attached to it.
However, an item attached to an item bundle is in fact being loaned to a patron
when the bundle is checked out. Therefore, the attached item should also
accumulate checkout stats. Checkout stats are used as the basis when paying
compansations to authors.
