The tool gains a patron search (the existing patron autocomplete) and an item barcode search. Choosing a patron selects their patron category. Choosing an item selects its (effective) item type. The library follows the CircControl system preference: the patron's library for PatronLibrary, the item's home or holding library (HomeOrHoldingBranch) for ItemHomeLibrary, and the library the librarian is logged in at otherwise. The selection is shown above the results, the three dropdowns can still be changed by hand, and the rules are fetched as soon as a patron or item is chosen. To test: 1. Apply the previous patch and go to Administration > Circulation and fine rules, then open the "Circulation and fine rules test tool". 2. Define a rule for a specific patron category and item type (for example for the Patron category and Books item type). 3. Search for a patron of that category by name or card number and select them. Confirm the Patron category dropdown changes to the patron's category and the rules are shown. 4. Search for an item of that item type by barcode and select it. Confirm the Item type dropdown changes to the item's type, and that the Library follows the CircControl and HomeOrHoldingBranch preferences (change them and repeat to check). 5. Confirm the rules shown are those you defined in step 2, and that the summary above the results lists the patron, item, library, patron category and item type used. 6. Edit the patron or item field and confirm the earlier choice is forgotten, and that choosing the dropdowns by hand still works. 7.
