Katrin,
IE9 is two major versions back.  IE10 introduced a big jump in fixing a lot of
issues and being more compliant than previous versions.

I'm wondering if these issues are persistent with current versions.

Because this is an accessibility discussion, is there a reason they need to
stick with an older version of IE?  I really don't recommend use of anything
earlier than IE10 here.
