Bernard,
My recommendation would be to assign all items in one 'section' of the library to one item type, and base the rules on that. Then, for your patron's searching, use the Collection Code to designate item 'types' like Book, DVD, VHS, Oversize, etc... you can make the Collection Codes appear as the search limiter using the AdvancedSearchTypes system preference. -Ian 2011/8/20 Bernard Shiundu <[email protected]> > A koha library I manage has multiple branches but the lending rules are > based on sections within the library and all the branches have the same > sections.
