Hi, I'm not sure about this one. If the goal is to only bring up the item list when needed and reduce bandwith, this patch does not change the fact that the items are still being retrieved and sent to the browser. If the idea is to reduce conceptual complexity for the patron, I don't think that a checkbox with magic behavior is the best affordance; something that looks like a hyperlink or a button would be a better signal that interesting behavior will occur.
