Hi,

I have done a patch to ‘unlump’ them that is waiting for sign off:

http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=6302

I have also done some work on renaming AutoEmailPrimaryAddress to
EmailPrimaryAddress. But it needs a database update, so I am waiting for this
discussion to be resolved.

Those preferences need to be un-lumped together to prevent this kind of
confusion.

Cab,

The system preference text is misleading; AutoEmailPrimaryAddress applies to
more than just new account messaging. Notices also use this preference to find
the right email address field.

In our version of Koha the AutoEmailPrimaryAddress preference reads:

"Send/ Don't send an email to newly created patrons with their account
details at their alternate/ etc. email address".

So, presumably would not apply to notices?

From searching this preference on bugzilla
(http://bugs.koha-community.org), it looks like there's some work
being done in this area, however.

Will have to remember to search the system prefs & bugzilla before posting!
