Re: my reindexing problems (the SQL query being just what I thought would help solving the problem). A big thank you to everyone around. I received some help (private messages) and I think the problem is solved now. My understanding of the problem is that the cron job was all messed up (probably my fault). No further indexing problem since the cronjob has been redone properly. Many many thanks to everyone here for their support!
