We had a similar problem with collection codes. In the end I exported the records, ran a batch edit in MarcEdit (or a text editor) and then imported the records to overwrite the old ones. It is always safer to do this in a test instance of the catalogue first, if you have one. Though as edits go, changing the case of one word *should *be simple.
