Create item type image as .gif format and copy the same in to below two locations 1) /usr/share/koha/intranet/htdocs/intranet-tmpl/prog/img/itemtypeimg/ (select folder item type category) 2) /usr/share/koha/opac/htdocs/opac-tmpl/bootstrap/itemtypeimg/ (select folder item type category)
