Hi Charles,

You probably know this already, possibly because I posted something similar a
few weeks ago, but MarcEdit has a Delimited Text Translator that makes
converting from a spreadsheet to MARC absurdly easy. You can see a very short
example in my "MarcEdit in three minutes" presentation at

http://avengingchicken.online/misc/king_marcedit_in_three_minutes_with_notes_mla2019.pdf
and get MarcEdit at

Hi Charles,

in German libraries an acquisition number like this is very common.
There is a specific Koha item subfield for it already: 952$i = stocknumber or
inventory number. It is indexed in Zebra and there are some value builders
(like stocknumberAV.pl) to generate different sequential number patterns that
can be used with it or could be adapted to generate what you currently have.

Hope this helps,

Katrin
