Hello Julia, I think you have a better alternative, since using WSL can get you into problems for installing and running koha.
You can use a container alternative, more information on the link below, https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha-testing-docker "Koha-testing-docker (or ktd for short) is a replacement for KohaDevBox. It is the recommended tool for setting up an environment to run tests, sign off, do development etc." "his has currently been tested succesfully with Linux [Debian, Arch], macOS [Ventura, Sonoma] and Windows [10, 11]."
