They have been working for the last 40 years to amend that. That same issue of the New York Times contained another example of upper-class tunnel vision. A headline on p. 19 read: "Nation's Robust Economy Contributing to Lack of Affordable Housing" For 99% of the world, "affordable housing" is central to the definition of a good economy. Not for the New York Times. Its sole criterion of a healthy economy is healthy profits. Everything else and everyone else can drop dead, and they will still talk of a "robust" economy.
