Kim Yong Nam meets manager of Ecuadorian publishing house
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Kim Yong Nam, President of the presidium
of the Supreme People's Assembly
of the DPRK, met and had a conversation with Humberto Ortiz Flores, manager
of the Voluntad Publishing House of
Ecuador, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall today.
Present there was Mun Jae Chol, acting chairman of the Korean Society
for Cultural Relations with Foreign
Countries.
The manager said that the Korean people under the leadership of the
great leader Kim Il Sung and the respected
Kim Jong Il are the most proud and dignified people in the world.
He said that through the historic Pyongyang meeting and the
inter-Korean summit held recently the world was
astonished to witness the disposition and the ability of outstanding
leadership of Kim Jong Il and praised his greatness.
Members of international organizations look round drought-hit areas
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Members of the World Food Program and
other international organizations in the
DPRK today looked round drought-hit areas in Pongsan and Hwangju counties,
North Hwanghae Province.
Looking round Chondok-ri in Pongsan county and Chongryong-ri in Hwangju
county, they acquainted
themselves in detail with the actual conditions in which the growth of
crops is considerably hindered owing to
unprecedentedly serious drought and heat.
They were greatly impressed to see the Korean people's vigorous
struggle to protect crops from drought and heat.
Korean people's absolute worship of leader
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- The Korean people's faith and will to
firmly believe in the respected leader Kim
Jong Il and remain single-heartedly loyal to him in the revolution are
growing stronger as days go by, says Rodong
Sinmun today in a signed article. Loyalty to the leader is based on
absolute worship of him, the article adds, and goes
on:
One's absolute worship of the leader means firmly believing in and
following one's leader only under any
circumstances and conditions. Only those who absolutely worship their
leader can possess true loyalty to him.
The Korean people's intense fidelity to the party and the leader is
based on absolute worship of Kim Jong Il.
His outstanding personality as a great man -- extraordinary in thinking
and leadership art and rare in virtue -- is a
basic factor of inspiring the Korean people to cherish intense loyalty to him.
Absolute worship of the leader serves as a main source of the Korean
people's strong faith based on their trust in
their leader and veneration for him and as a key factor of encouraging the
people to display the spirit of devotedly
safeguarding the leader.
It also serves as a source of inexhaustible strength with which the
Korean people struggle through thick and thin to
implement plans and intentions of the leader.
It is a proud tradition of the Korean people to remain intensely loyal
to the party and the leader, cherishing absolute
worship of the leader, the article concludes.
Three-point charter of Korea's reunification supported abroad
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Renan Raffo Munoz, general secretary of
the central committee of the Peruvian
Communist Party, and other party leadership members signed the signature
paper supporting the three-point charter of
Korea's reunification on July 11 on behalf of 50,000 party members.
Eternal life of Kim Il Sung prayed for in Jordan
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- The Arab Center for the Study of the Idea
of Independence, the Arab Committee
for Solidarity with the Korean People and Support to Korea's Reunification
in Jordan and the Islamic World and Arab
Regional Leadership of the International Front Against Zionism released a
joint statement on July 8 on the occasion of
the 6th anniversary of the passing away of the President Kim Il Sung.
The joint statement said that Kim Il Sung founded the Juche idea and
successfully put forward a correct line of
anti-imperialist struggle. It referred to his immortal exploits.
The statement prayed for the eternal life of Kim Il Sung, highly
praising the principled militant will of the
Worker's Party of Korea headed by the great Kim Jong Il, a friend of the
Jordanian people, who is creditably
defending the sovereignty and territory of the country in face of military
pressure from outside forces.
Symposiums on exploits of Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- Symposiums on the exploits of the
President Kim Il Sung were held in Peru,
Yugoslavia and Italy on July 7 on the occasion of the 6th anniversary of
his passing away.
Present there were political and public figures, members of friendship
organizations and committees for supporting
Korea's reunification and people of different social standings of these
countries.
The secretary general of the Peruvian Committee for Supporting the
Independent and Peaceful Reunification of
Korea in his speech said that the greatest exploit of Kim Il Sung in human
history is that he founded the Juche idea to
indicate the independent road of the times and humankind.
The chief of the Peruvian Group for the Study of the Revolutionary
Activities of Kim Jong Suk said that all
members of the group will make a deep study of the history of the
revolutionary activities of the great leaders Kim Il
Sung and Kim Jong Il and anti-Japanese heroine Kim Jong Suk and widely
propagandize it among the Peruvian
people.
The chairman of the Worker's Party of Yugoslavia stressed that victory
and glory are always in store for the
Korean people and the world progressives as they are led by Kim Jong Il who
demonstrated his qualities as the leader
of the great party and state and invincible commander in the rigorous
revolutionary practice of many years.
A letter to Kim Jong Il was adopted at the symposium in Peru.
Sunrays of reunification
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- A video tape showing the greatness of
leader Kim Jong Il is spread, drawing
attention of the people in Seoul, Seoul-based radio Voice of National
Salvation quoted the Seoul city committee of the
National Democratic Front of South Korea as saying.
This tape was made by members of a society for loving the country. It
was adapted from the Korean documentary
film "The Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il Meets With President Kim Dae
Jung, June 13-15, Juche 89 (2000)"
which was televised by TV Pyongyang.
The video tape titled "Sunrays of Reunification" is screened among
broad segments of people in South Korea.
Kim Il Sung's reminiscences studied abroad
Pyongyang, July 17 (KCNA) -- A seminar and a special lecture on "With
the Century," the reminiscences of the
President Kim Il Sung, were held in Democratic Congo and Uganda on July 4
and 7 on the occasion of the 6th
anniversary of his passing away.
Referring to the content of vol. 7, part 1 the anti-Japanese revolution
of "With the Century" (continuing edition), at
the seminar the chairman of the Kim Jong Il Group for the Study of the
Juche Idea in Democratic Congo praised Kim Il
Sung as the great leader who steered the Korean revolution to one victory
after another, firmly maintaining the
independent stand in the revolution and construction.
The teacher in charge of Kim Jong Il class in Kitante Primary School,
Kampala, Uganda, at a special lecture said
that the reminiscences of the President serves as a very precious textbook
instilling the noble love of the country, the
nation and revolutionary comrades and truth of struggle and life into the
people.
