Hamas leader in Gaza Mahmoud Al Zahar declined to say who was responsible for the suicide bombing attack carried out earlier on Sunday, in which at least one Israeli was killed and dozens injured. "The one who is responsible for increasing violence is Sharon and his government," Zahar said, adding that "he (Sharon) destroys homes and kills innocent people, and then the Palestinians come andcarry out suicide bombing attacks into Israel." The Palestinians were committed to the ceasefire and there were three complete weeks of calmness in the Palestinian territories, said he, noting that Sharon is the one who escalated the tense situation after this calmness. "Sharon wants to approve to the White House that the Palestinians are criminals," said Zahar. "The Israelis are the criminals who are using tanks and F-16 warplanes against our people," he pointed out. Meanwhile, Palestinian Information Minister Yasser Abed Rabbo told Palestinian Radio that "the one who is responsible for creating an atmosphere of violence is Sharon." Abed Rabbo denied the reports that the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) has lost control, saying that "the one who acts to make the PNA and the ceasefire agreement collapse is Sharon, and the Israeli government is carrying the complete responsibility for what is happening."
