Nylund's Foundation Scholarships for Female Christian undergraduate and
graduate students from developing countries

The Ali and Tujan Nylund's Foundation (Ali ja Tujan Nylundin S��ti�) 
awards
three (3) undergraduate or graduate scholarships for female Christian
students from developing countries (according to the definition by the
United Nations). The applicants must be currently enrolled as registered
full-time students at the University of Helsinki. Each scholarship is 700
euros per month (for nine months per year) and it is intended to cover the
whole period of a student's studies until graduation from the University 
of
Helsinki with a Master's degree. Scholarships are granted for one academic
year at a time: the con�tinuation of the scholarship is based on a report 
by
the scholarship holder at the end of each term. Please note that the 
Nylund'
s Founda�tion gives preference to female students.

Applications must include the following:
1.    Application form from the Foreign Student Adviser (see below)
2.    Reference letter from your supervisor or teacher (max. one sheet
typed)
3.    Short CV (curriculum vitae)
4.    Official up-to-date transcript (from the Student Services)
5.    Information on current funding of studies: how do you finance your
studies and stay in Finland at present
6.    Personal statement in your own words: information on your career 
plans
after graduation should be included (max. one sheet typed)

Forms are available at the International Student Services, Fabianinkatu 33
(ground floor), from September 15 (Wednesday), 2004. Return the 
application
to Nylund's Foundation, c/o Foreign Student Adviser, Robert Ramberg,
International Student Ser�vices, P. O. Box 3 (Fabianinkatu 33), 00014
University of Helsinki.

The closing date for applications is October 15 (Friday), 2004, 15.30 
(3.30
p.m.). Applications may be submitted at the Foreign Student Adviser's
office. If the application is sent by mail, it must carry the postmark of
October 15, 2004.  Late applications will not be considered.
