There was a blacklisting feature that was implemented for Kopete 0.11
and it would exclude those not on your contact list, IIRC. I can't offer
any reasons as to why it was disabled, though. This wishlist needs to be
reopened, in any case.
Now, if some of you feel somehow personally offended by the fact that
this isn't implemented, or it's resolved and but not implemented, I
don't have anything to offer you to make you feel better. There are more than
350 feature requests and more than 200 bugs that are currently opened against
Kopete and a 6-8 person team (if we're lucky) just can't get to them all, even
if they are popular wishes.
I ask that you please continue to wait a little longer. A lot of things
will be fixed and implemented for KDE 4, when Kopete should finally
reach 1.0
