Because both styles of UI are just views onto the state of the underlying Decibel system. As another kind of 'both', if I succeed in adapting Kopete plugins to work as CMs, we could have the choice of loading the plugin natively into Kopete or loading it into a CM adaptor skeleton and addressing it over Decibel.
