Thanks for your report. smpppd is basically obsolete in KDE 4 due to the new
Solid hardware interaction classes which implements the same functionality.
Since Kopete is taking advantages of this for network access, we believe this
problem to be fixed. If you still have problems with this in KDE 4.0, we
encourage you to report the bug at that time.
