Not really, no. You could have your kids put all of their contacts into two 
different 'groups' though.

With KDE 4 we have different "Identities", which can group accounts together.

Unfortunately not. Logs are stored separately in 
$KDEHOME/share/apps/kopete/logs as XML files. You could just combine every 
file in there into one, and read that.
