Hi, I am trying to found some OSS GIS for our institute. We currently have few Mapinfo licences, but it is not enough. After rejecting QGIS for absence of needed functions (raster interpolation from points) I am testing Kosmo. I have few problems:
1) the interpolation of point data is very coarse, we need better quality. Is it possible? I saw the Generic Mapping Tools which is able to product much better grids. 2) If I load my data, Kosmo (and QGIS too) shows, that the extend is only few meters (in fact it is few kilometers). Data are from Czech Republic (middle Europe) in WGS 84, coordinates are in decimal degrees like X = 14,907252, Y = 49,74082. Where is the problem?
