You hear a lot about how "unfriendly" linux is, how difficult it is to install devices, poor driver support- compile, search yatty yatty...
I gotta say, when you find an old USB Wacom tablet in the bottom of a drawer, plug it in and it instantly_just_WORKS_, in conjunction with and at the same time as my synaptics touch pad, switching using from one to the other without knocking one or the other out, NO configuring, NO waiting while it seaches in vain for a signed driver, relentless "are you sure?", wizards, fluff and folds.. that, my friends, is a testimony to just how far linux has come. very nice. Makes using Gimp a joy. specs for those who care: Dell Inspiron 2100 PIII 700Mhz, 256 Ram, FC3, Kernel 2.6.10-1.741_FC3 :D C.
