I go to some trouble to try keeping a straight distribution/rpm machine.
Supposedly the FC 3 packages are already prepared with the FC 3 libs
etc. When they don't, complaints are justified.

My complaints about hard coding have never, as far as I can remember,
been directed at free SW, which by and large is more professionally
prepared than proprietary stuff in my experience -- but that's what you
seem to be saying.

Finally, I don't appreciate being imputed with whining about one thing
when I'm clearly whining about another. Please be good enough to read my
whines and understand them before criticizing.

I suspect a lot of this would go away if I had the RH Extras CD. I've
been unable to find it. Probably goggling the wrong thing.
