I go to some trouble to try keeping a straight distribution/rpm machine. Supposedly the FC 3 packages are already prepared with the FC 3 libs etc. When they don't, complaints are justified. My complaints about hard coding have never, as far as I can remember, been directed at free SW, which by and large is more professionally prepared than proprietary stuff in my experience -- but that's what you seem to be saying. Finally, I don't appreciate being imputed with whining about one thing when I'm clearly whining about another. Please be good enough to read my whines and understand them before criticizing. I suspect a lot of this would go away if I had the RH Extras CD. I've been unable to find it. Probably goggling the wrong thing. -- Lan Barnes [EMAIL PROTECTED] Linux Guy, SCM Specialist 858-354-0616 -- [email protected] http://www.kernel-panic.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/kplug-list
