I wonder what this means for IBM's Cell processor plans? Maybe the Cell will become the next major alternative to x86? Maybe IBM will be so heart-broken by the Apple thing that it will neglect to give the Cell the attention it needs?
A few of the articles I've read (via Google News) had quotes from IBM saying, to effect, "eh, so what. They were a marginal customer for our PowerPC chips anyway."
So, no, IBM apparently doesn't really care all that much. Gregory -- Gregory K. Ruiz-Ade <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> OpenPGP Key ID: EAF4844B keyserver: pgpkeys.mit.edu
