Strange how comparatively happy (and free) they are in their ignorance of your awesome government coddled superiority.

My last project helps fight disease the world over. Friends of mine work on projects which help us understand the universe, take our first steps off of this planet, produce music and art which can be appreciated even by the ignorant, and help educate people across the globe.

And, BTW, I don't think of myself as unhappy. I *like* living in this time in this place. 50 years ago I would be working in a steel mill or coal mine and then drinking myself into an alcoholic haze in order to face the fact that I might be killed at my job tomorrow.

Alternatively, I would be working on a farm for 12+ hours a day and be so tired that I would barely be able to stay awake to talk to my wife and children in the evening. And my wife might not be alive because she died in childbirth with our third child because we were too far from a doctor or hospital when something went wrong.

I'm glad your poor relatives are happy in their ignorance. However, I'll pass on their lifestyle, thank you very much. Don't presume to speak for my happiness or lack thereof.
